ST. LOUIS, Mo (KMOX) -- As election night draws near, stories in the area are preparing for the possibility of unrest in the streets as election results come in.
At least two stores in the area, Nordstrom at the Galleria and Nordstrom rack in Brentwood, have boarded up their storefronts.

The company said in a statement that some of their locations will be taking steps to protect their buildings and customers:
"As we prepare for Election day, our stores are monitoring the situation so we can be prepared for any activities that might take place across the U.S. on November 3 and potentially in the days following. We’re taking steps to help keep our customers and employees safe and our stores secure, and that includes boards or additional security at some of our locations."
