The Steelers look to be as close to healthy as an NFL team can be this time of year, heading into the final game of the season.
The Steelers will face the Bengals at Acrisure Stadium on Saturday night at 8 p.m. and Head Coach Mike Tomlin said during his weekly news conference on Monday he expects to have cornerback Joey Porter Jr. and wide receiver Ben Skowronek.
Porter missed the Christmas Day game loss to Kansas City with a knee injury he suffered during the second Ravens game and Skowronek was also out against the Chiefs after a hip injury suffered against Baltimore.
Cornerback Cory Trice and running back Jaylen Warren suffered “bumps and bruises” against the Chiefs and Tomlin says he expects they will be limited early in the week but expects them to both play on Saturday night.
It also sounds like Tomlin will continue to play whoever is healthy enough to take the field.
Tomlin says he hasn’t thought about resting players in the Ravens win their game.
“I haven’t pondered that, at all, to be quite honest with you, that might be a thought for later in the week,” said Tomlin. “I think it’s significant how we go into his tournament and so, I doubt that I’ll be in that mentality that you mentioned.”
