Liover Peguero is back with the Pirates after he was recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis.
Peguero has appeared in 63 games over three years with most of those (59 games) in 2023.
He has a career .237 batting average in the MLB with an OPS of .650, five doubles and seven home runs.
In 24 games this season with the Indians, Peguero is hitting .258 with six doubles, one triple, a home run and 12 RBI.
To make room for Peguero, RHP Hunter Stratton was optioned to Triple-A.
Stratton appeared in two games with and ERA of 21.60.
The Pirates begin a three-game series against the San Diego Padres at PNC Park Friday night.
