Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert is officially listed as “questionable” for Sunday’s game against the Steelers.
Herbert told reports on Friday that he is still dealing with a high ankle sprain.
His ankle was taped up again on Friday during team stretches.
Herbert said the pain is "not great" but was adding there is still time for him to improve before Sunday.
NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport said on Thursday that the 26-year-old was “extremely limited” during practice.
Herbert has three touchdowns and one interception through two games this season for the 2-0 Chargers.
He’s gone 31-for-46 this season for 274 yards, so far.
If Herbert can’t play, Easton Stick will start for L.A.
Stick appeared in five games, starting four, for the Chargers last season. He went 0-4 during that span.
Stick started last year after Herbert went down with a finger injury that ended his season after 13 games.
