2 arrested after hit-and-run on PCH sends car into ocean

LOS ANGELES (KNX) — Police have arrested two in connection with a hit-and-run crash on the Pacific Coast Highway in Pacific Palisades that sent a car offroad and into the ocean on Thursday night.

The crash, which occurred shortly before 10 p.m. in the 17300 block of West Pacific Coast Highway, possibly involved up to three vehicles according to a spokesperson with the Los Angeles Police Department.

The occupants of the car that fell into the water were believed ot have exited the vehicle beforehand, or shortly afterward, according to the L.A. County Fire Department. Lifeguard assistance was not ultimately dispatched as no one was reported to be in the water.

Officials have not yet confirmed whether any injuries were reported in connection with the crash.
