Two people were taken to a hospital Monday following a crash involving an SUV and a box truck in the Lake View Terrace area.
The collision was reported about 8:50 a.m. in the 11300 block of Foothill Boulevard, according to the Nicholas Prange of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Firefighters freed one person who was trapped in the wreckage, Prange said.
"Five total patients were assessed by LAFD Paramedics on scene," Prange said in a statement. "Three will not be transported by LAFD. The other two are being taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries."
The circumstances of the crash were under investigation.
