LOS ANGELES (KNX) – A robbery investigation led to the pursuit and arrest of six individuals in Echo Park Friday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Police said a robbery investigation was conducted regarding robberies in Downtown L.A. that involved pricey jewelry.
Detectives recognized one of the alleged suspects.
When officers attempted to arrest him, the suspect and five other men in the car drove off, initiating a vehicle pursuit with officers, according to a press release.
The pursuit ended on Bellevue Avenue and West Kensington Road. The six suspects tried to run off, but police established a perimeter and were able to use that to arrest the men.
No injuries were reported.
None of the suspects have been publicly identified and officials said the investigation is ongoing.
