Authorities seek public's help in deadly stabbing in La Puente

LA PUENTE (CNS) - Authorities reached out to the public Monday for information leading to the person responsible for a fatal stabbing at a La Puente nightclub.

The victim, identified as Jie Deng, was stabbed around 1 a.m. June 14 at a nightclub in the 100 block of South Sixth Avenue in the La Puente area, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Authorities at the time said a second person was also taken to a hospital for treatment.

Sheriff's officials asked anyone with information about the attack to contact the LASD Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500. Anonymous tips can be made by calling 800-222-8477.
