BELL GARDENS, Calif. (KNX) — Police have shared video of an exchange in Bell Gardens that they are calling "suspicious" as it occurred before one of the men involved went missing.
Last Friday around 10 p.m. Bell Gardens police officers were called for reports of a man with a gun in the parking lot of a Ross store on Florence Avenue. Two possible victims told police they were approached by a group of adult men, an argument took place and afterwords, their friend "Jacob" was nowhere to be found.

"Upon further investigation, 'Jacob' could possibly use the name 'Diego,'" Police said in a statement, though the department has not explained why there is confusion surrounding the man's name.
Surveillance footage from the shopping center shows what police believe to be the altercation in question. Over the course of the video, a man believed to be "Jacob" or "Diego" is seen being chased as he runs from the area.
"Bell Gardens detectives are currently working to identify 'Jacob' or 'Diego' and his whereabouts" the department said, adding that they believe this is an isolated incident and that there is no danger to the public.
Anyone with information about the incident, or the man's whereabouts is asked to call the Bell Gardens Police Department at 562-806-7694.
