LOS ANGELES (KNX) — A body found in Griffith Park on Thursday has been identified as that of Oscar Alejandro Hernandez, 29, who had been reported missing since March 16.
Hernandez’s body was found in a remote area of the park, his dog, still alive, by his side.
A firefighter called out to the scene described the location as a hike up Griffith Mountain from the park’s merry-go-round. According to a missing person’s flier posted by Hernandez’s family, he was last seen in the immediate vicinity a little over two weeks ago.
The Los Angeles Police Department was still investigating the circumstances surrounding Hernandez’s death.
