Car insurance premiums are increasing for California drivers.
The average driver in California saw an increase of about 1% for their car insurance in 2023. This year, it’s expected to be much higher.
“So this is independent of your driving record,” Divya Sangameshwar, an insurance expert from LendingTree, told KCAL. “Even if nothing changed from 2023, you could see your insurance go up by an average of 11.5%.”
She said cars continue to be more expensive and that the cost to repair and replace cars also continues to rise.
According to LendingTree, the most expensive cities to insure your car in L.A. County are Beverly Hills, Tarzana, Van Nuys, West Hollywood, and North Hollywood.
