
CHERRY VALLEY, Calif. (KNX) — A reported gas leak in the Cherry Valley community of Riverside County has prompted the evacuation of one residence, while neighbors have been ordered to shelter in place.
The leak occurred in connection with a natural gas line being struck.

The Riverside County Fire Department received a report of the leak shortly after 8 a.m. on Thursday at the intersection of Cherry and Grand avenues.
Engineers with Southern California Gas Company were called to the scene to administer repairs while one residence was ordered to evacuate, and approximately 12 other households were ordered to shelter in place.
No injuries have been reported and the cause of the line rupture was still under investigation as of Thursday morning.
