Southern California Democratic Congressman Brad Sherman tells KNX News he is concerned that Thursday's indictment of Donal Trump "will help Trump win the Republican primary."

Congressman Sherman says the charges tied to hush money payments made to adult film actress Stormy Daniels during Trump's 2016 presidential campaign "is not the strongest of the cases that can be brought against him."
Instead, Sherman believes charges for the former president's involvement in the January 6 insurrection at the US capital and his "ham-handed" attempt to 'find' 11,000 votes in his favor are more provable crimes.

And while the Congressman is concerned this indictment will push Mr. Trump to the top spot in the primary, he is cautiously optimistic it will not lead him back to the White House, saying, "whether the victim card helps him in a general election, I would tend to think not, but I'm sure, he'll play it."
