HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (KNX) – The coyote found dead on Huntington Beach Friday morning was the coyote who bit a toddler, officials confirmed.
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife confirmed Sunday that the DNA sample collected from the young girl’s arm matched one of the coyotes killed that night, according to Fox 11.
On Thursday, Huntington Beach Police Department responded to the attack around 10 p.m. The young girl was hospitalized with serious injuries, but was expected to be ok.
Hours later, a dead coyote was found on Dog Beach and was taken away by law enforcement officials.
