Sheriff's homicide detectives Friday are assisting the Montebello Police Department with their investigation of a fatal shooting in Montebello.
Montebello police responded at 2:33 a.m. to the 1600 block of Neil Armstrong Street and Marketplace Drive where they found the victim, said Lt. Steven De Jong.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
