A Glendora man is now under arrest for allegedly taking part in last week’s violent demonstration at the U.S. Capitol Building.
He'll go before a federal judge this afternoon facing a number of charges.
"Hunter Ehmke, 20, was booked at the Glendora Police Department Wednesday night and released to the custody of federal agents, according to jail records", according to various media including NBC LA.
He allegedly smashed a window at the Capitol, the story reported. The charges include "..damaging or destroying government property, obstruction of an official proceeding, and violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds."
“Due to the growing aggression of the large crowd that far outnumbered the officers and the exigent circumstances at the time, officers made the decision to allow Ehmke to depart under his own power,” the complaint says in an LA Times story.
According to an AP story, more than 100 people have been arrested on criminal charges stemming from the riots in D.C.
Other arrests across the country have included a son of a prominent Brooklyn judge, the infamous shirtless horned rioter and others.
Meanwhile, in anticipation of Inauguration Day, for President-elect Joe Biden, the National Guard has been told to prepare for as more people descent on the Capitol in the days leading up to Jan. 20.
