In the '70s, before Rodney Bingenheimer became a famous L.A. DJ, he owned a popular club on the Sunset Strip called the English Disco.

That's where Go-Go's guitarist Jane Wiedlin and several other women allege Bingenheimer molested them while they were teenagers.

Wiedlin told Rolling Stone, the SiriusXM radio show host cornered her in the back of the club and sexually assaulted her. "I didn't know what to do; I was pretty much frozen. I didn't say anything; I didn't try to stop him," she said.

"It was weird; it never occurred to me that that had been a crime. I didn't know what to think. It wasn't until the #MeToo movement started when I realized I was sexually assaulted by [an adult] when I was 15," said Wiedlin.

Four other women have accused Bingenheimer of similar attacks, one of whom alleges he molested her when she was still a pre-teen.

Six months prior to these allegations, Runaways songwriter Kari Krome opened a lawsuit against Bingenheimer, claiming he sexually assaulted her when she was a minor as well.

The former KROQ DJ helped launch the careers of musical acts, including The Bangles, The Sex Pistols, The Ramones, and Tom Petty.
