L.A. fire officials extinguish large shed fire in Highland Park

HIGHLAND PARK (CNS) -- Firefighters knocked down a large shed fire today that was threatening other buildings in Highland Park.

The fire at 5510 York Blvd. was reported at 11:44 a.m., according to spokeswoman Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.


The department dispatched 40 firefighters to the scene and they extinguished the flames in 21 minutes, Stewart said.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation, she said.
