Police said a crowd gathered at the intersection of Figueroa Street and El Segundo Boulevard around 12:40 a.m. during a street takeover.

At some point during the street takeover, a “flash mob” went inside a nearby 7-Eleven.

Surveillance footage showed a crowd of people running through the aisles, grabbing items off the shelves including snacks and drinks. Some people ran out of the store while a group huddled against the checkout counter. At one point, a guy slid over to the other side of the counter and started throwing what looked like lotto tickets and cigarettes.

“Looters also vandalized the store and threw merchandise at employees,” the department said in a news release.

A $50,000 reward if being offered for information leading to the arrests of the suspects.

Anyone with information about this traffic collision is asked to contact South Traffic Division Detectives at 323-421-2500 or email STDdetectives@lapd.online.
