LA County will receive a shipment of baby formula this week as part of President Joe Biden's Operation Fly Formula mission in an effort to help families struggling with supply shortages.
With price gouging recently being stopped by the City of Los Angeles, parents will look to get their hands on formula shipped directly from Australia to aisles at Ralphs and Albertsons.

Pallets of Bubs Infant Formula will be headed to LAX after being shipped from Australia on Saturday morning. Suppliers have shared it is enough to fill upwards of two million bottles.
The shipment comes as families have struggled to find formula for weeks, leaving some hospitalized in other parts of the country.
The Biden administration's operation isn't the only thing being done to help with the shortage, as stores should once again begin receiving products from the Abbott Nutrition Sturgis, Michigan, facility that reopened earlier this month.
More close to home, the LA City Council ratified an emergency declaration from Mayor Eric Garcetti that will now make price gouging illegal, with the sellers not able to price the product more than 10% above what it cost before the crisis.
Still, parents like Shirly Bridewell shared with NBC Los Angeles that it's concerning that we have found ourselves in this situation, to begin with.
"You would think something that important would not run out, you would think it's a staple of our society especially in the U.S.," the mother of two told the station.
As 95,000 tins of formula are expected to show up sometime Sunday at LAX before making their way to store shelves, Birdewell said she hopes this isn't an issue ever again.
"Hopefully, this will be a good lesson and never happens again, whether it's baby formula or some other staple we rely on," Bridewell said.
