
LOS ANGELES (KNX) –The man accused of abusing his dog and then shooting at two people who told him to stop was arrested Wednesday.
Saalih Mousa was arrested in Downtown Los Angeles and charged with attempted murder.
Mousa’s girlfriend, Athena Mansour, identified Mousa to police, KTLA reported. She had also been arrested as part of the investigation.
Two witnesses told police that Mousa was seen beating his dog in the 700 block of North La Brea Avenue. When the witnesses told him to stop, an argument ensued and Mousa allegedly shot at the witnesses.
One of them was hit and taken to the hospital in stable condition. Police told KNX the suspect ran away from the scene.
The dog’s condition is still unknown at this time.
