Air traffic officials suspended flights in and out of Hollywood Burbank Airport Wednesday afternoon after a man ran onto the runway as a plane neared takeoff.
The security and safety violation around 11:30 a.m. forced the airport to temporarily suspend all flights from leaving or arriving, shutting down the airport for some time.

Police arrested the man. It’s unclear why he ran onto the runway or how he accessed the secure area.
Authorities said no one was hurt in the incident.
Normal airport operations resumed Wednesday afternoon.
