Police are searching for a man alleged to have randomly stabbed two people in broad daylight Saturday morning.
Two stabbings and a worried call to the authorities all happened in a brief 30 minute period Saturday morning near La Brea Avenue and Washington Boulevard in Mid-City.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the first victim was jogging a little after 9 a.m. when she took off her headphones to hear what a man was yelling at her.
“She then was stabbed in the upper torso with a knife,” Officer Mike Lopez told KNX. “The suspect then fled on foot.”
Lopez said a few minutes later officers got a call about a man in the area threatening people with a knife. That’s when officers found a second stabbing victim.
“They observed that victim at the bus stop and was found bleeding from the face. All these incidents happened within half an hour of each other,” he said.
The second victim was sitting on a bench at the northwest corner of Washington Boulevard and La Brea Avenue and was found by police around 9:35 a.m.
Detectives believe the same person committed both stabbings, and the LAPD released a video of the suspect in the hopes that someone can identify him. “We need the public’s help to see if anyone can identify this individual. Hopefully, this will not happen again,” said Lopez.
The police described the suspect as a Black male who is bald, 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs approximately 200 lbs. The suspect was wearing a loose purple dark shirt and gray cargo shorts.
Both victims were taken to the hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities said the two victims are expected to recover.
