LOS ANGELES (KNX) — The search for a missing Los Angeles mother continues as new video shows she may have been in Downtown Los Angeles on the day she disappeared. Heidi Planck was spotted on the street outside a highrise apartment building where her dog was found unattended later that night.

A resident of the building where the dog was found provided surveillance video that appeared to show a woman resembling Planck. In it, she walks along a stretch of pavement accompanied by the dog, leash in hand.

Planck has been missing since Oct. 17, and was last seen at her son's football game in Downey that day.

A resident of Mid-City, Planck reportedly had no connection to the building or neighborhood. But building staff said they were familiar with her and recognized her dog, according to Planck's friends, who are conducting their own search for the 39-year-old woman.

Although questions about how the dog ended up in Downtown Los Angeles appear to be resolved for the time being, Planck's disappearance still puzzles friends and family.

Her ex-husband alleged the disappearance could be related to Planck's work at Camden Capital Partners. Her boss there, Jason Sugarman, is facing federal charges connected with a $43 million fraud case.

Security footage from Planck's home showed Sugarman leaving donuts on her doorstep a day or two after she was last seen.
