
A man on a motorcycle fatally collided with a big rig on the Orange (57) Freeway, leading to a hours long backup Tuesday on the freeway.
The collision was reported at 1:46 a.m. and California Highway Patrol officers responded to the southbound freeway and Sunset Crossing where they found the motorcyclist, CHP Officer Sean Lough told City News Service.

Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel were called to the scene and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
A SigAlert was issued by the CHP for all lanes of the southbound freeway and officers diverted all traffic off the freeway to nearby Pomona.
The collision backed up the freeway for several hours.
