A motorcyclist was killed Wednesday in a crash in the Castaic area, authorities said.
The crash occurred at about 7 a.m. near Ridge Route Road and Shadow Lake Lane, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Information was not immediately available on the identity of the fatally injured person, who died at the scene.
