Another multi-million dollar home in Encino was broken into early Monday morning.

It happened at 12:30 a.m. on Valley Vista Boulevard.

The homeowners were inside the house when they heard glass breaking at 12:30 a.m.
The suspects reportedly broke in through a sliding glass door. Just as they got inside, the residents confronted them and the suspects ran off without taking anything.

This break-in is the latest in a string of break-ins and burglaries in the Encino area. One neighborhood in the area has a 40% increase in the number of burglaries, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

A woman who lives close to the home told KNX News’ Jon Baird that summertime is “ripe” for break-ins.

“People are going away, people leave their windows open, whatever it is,” she said. “They take their dogs with them or they send their dogs away. I mean, it's really scary.”
