POMONA, Calif. (KNX) — A crash involving a semitruck and two other vehicles in Pomona on Saturday morning. Authorities closed the eastbound 10 Freeway in the area as a result.
The collision occurred shortly before 6 a.m. near Kellogg Drive. According to California Highway Patrol, the trucker ended up trapped inside the vehicle as it caught fire.

The crash spilled the truck’s load of Dr. Pepper and Diet Coke cans onto the freeway. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
Firefighters responded to the scene to extricate the driver from the truck. No other injuries were immediately reported.
At 7:20 a.m., CHP announced two eastbound lanes were reopened. The remaining three were expected to remain closed through at least 9 a.m.
