
An overturned big rig prompted some closures on the 5 Freeway through Sun Valley Tuesday morning.
It happened on the northbound 5 Freeway at the Lankershim Boulevard exit around 4 a.m.
A truck driver was heading north when they saw a car in the freeway stop. The truck driver swerved to avoid it and ended up on his side.
A SigAlert issued by California Highway Patrol at 4:20 a.m. said all northbound lanes were closed, according to KTLA.
At 5:37 a.m., CHP wrote on X that the HOV lane and the one lane were opened. The other lanes are expected to be closed for two hours.
