LOS ANGELES (KNX) — Pink's Hot Dogs honored the late, great, Betty White Monday, by announcing that for the next seven days 100% of its "Betty White 'Naked' Hot Dog" sales would go to the Los Angeles Zoo.
To take part, fans must stop at Pink's 709 N. La Brea Avenue location, where they will find a "Betty White, we will love you forever!!!" banner hanging above the order line.
Eleven years ago, Pink's honored the Emmy-wining actress with the creation of the "Betty White 'Naked' Hot Dog," a plain hot dog with zero condiments or toppings, after learning that she preferred a plain dog, according to Eater L.A.
White was a longtime animal rights advocate who dedicated much of her life to helping animals — and often called animals her work and acting her hobby, according to various life tributes following her death on Dec. 31.
Monday, three days after death, Pink's announced the donation to the Zoo, where White had been a member of the Board of Trustees since 1974, according to ABC 7.
