A report published by TMZ reported that the guns inside the rapper’s house were allegedly purchased lawfully and registered and not connected to the shooting. Law enforcement told the outlet that the weapons were taken from the home during the search warrant.

On April 20, the rapper, whose rename is Rakim Mayers, was arrested in connection to a shooting in Los Angeles that occurred November 6, 2021.

The victim told Los Angeles police that he and Mayers got into an argument and that Mayers approached him with a handgun and shot at him.

Mayers posted the $550,000 bail.

His court date is scheduled for Aug. 17, according to Complex.
