Semi-truck goes off 5 Freeway, driver injured

BURBANK, Calif. (KNX) – The driver of a semi-truck was injured after it went off an off-ramp on the 5 Freeway in Burbank Sunday morning.

Firefighters with the Burbank Fire Department responded to the collision just before 6 a.m., officials said.

The driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The jackknifed truck blocked the off-ramp, as well as the right lane on southbound I-5, California Highway Patrol said.

No other cars were involved in the collision.
