LIVERPOOL, Englad (KNX) — Last week a man in Liverpool attempted to take his life after he was confronted by a group of “pedophile hunters” who streamed the encounter on Facebook.

According to a report from local media, on Thursday the British man attempted to slit his throat after being confronted by the hunters in a parking lot near a police station.

The encounter was live streamed and showed the man reach into his care for his knife and slash across his throat, attempting to take his life, but the footage has since been deleted, The Daily News reported.

The 55-year-old suspect was given medical attention after the suicide attempt and survived. He has since been arrested on suspicion of grooming a child under 14, as well as possession of a bladed article.
