Suspects sought in hate crime attack on man in Koreatown Metro station

 LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Four suspects were being sought today in the alleged hate crime beating of a man at a Metro station in the Koreatown area.

The crime occurred about 7:10 p.m. Feb. 26 in the 3700 block of Wilshire Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

According to police, the suspects approached the victim on the platform as he was waiting for a train, and then began punching him in the face until he lost consciousness.

One of the men allegedly made a derogatory comment to the victim, "targeting the victim's ethnic background" before he was assaulted, the LAPD reported.

The suspects were described as men in their early 20s, wearing dark clothing. Anyone with information was asked to call police at 877-LAPD-247 or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS.
