
SAN DIEGO (KNX) — Two men were in custody Tuesday in connection with the detonation of a pipe bomb at a San Diego hotel.
Grover Preston Everett, 39, and Hans Jurgen Sarda, 30, were arrested on suspicion of possession of a destructive device, detonating a destructive device, among other offenses. Sarda was also arrested on an alleged outstanding warrant connected with an unrelated incident.

The device was set off shortly before 10:30 a.m. Thursday on the second floor of the Four Points by Sheraton located at 8110 Aero Drive, near Kearny Villa Road, according to San Diego police.
No injuries were reported in connection with the blast. The hotel building only sustained minor damage.
Everett and Sarda were identified via tips from the public, police said.
Law enforcement has not yet disclosed a theorized motive as to the bombing.
