A woman was struck by a vehicle and killed Tuesday in a hit-and-run accident in the Arlington Heights area of Los Angeles, authorities said.
The woman, believed to have been in her 60s, was injured at about 6:45 a.m. at Venice Boulevard and Ninth Avenue, and she died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Information on her identity was not immediately available.
The vehicle was described only as a white Lexus or Toyota, the LAPD reported.
