A woman was wounded in a shooting on the Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway and sheriff's detectives Wednesday are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Deputies from the South Los Angeles' Sheriff's Station responded to the westbound freeway and Vermont Avenue where they found the victim inside a Mercedes suffering from multiple gunshots, South Los Angeles' Sheriff's Station watch commander Jesus Cabadas told City News Service.

The victim was taken to a hospital in an unknown condition.
