After becoming the Orange Bowl Queen in Miami, Flordia at the age of 19, Barbara was catapulted into the entertainment industry. She also became Miss Florida USA and 2nd runner-up in the Miss USA pageant. Barbara went on to win the nationally-televised Star Search Spokesmodel competition as Grand Champion. She traveled the world as a model, commercial actor and spokesperson, and landed in Los Angeles where she continued to work in the industry while completing her degree in Political Science from Cal State Long Beach. While in LA, she met her husband Don – and they traveled to a number of television markets as news reporters and anchors; primarily with NBC. Two daughters later… Barbara and Don are in Wichita, KS, where they decided to stay to raise their beautiful daughters, Abigail and Natalie. Barbara continued as a host of Hello Kansas and Baan Appetit on KSN television; the NBC affiliate in Wichita.
Barbara is active in the community as a volunteer and advocate for multiple non-profit organizations. She is an over-zealous WSU Shocker basketball fan, and can’t be torn away from supporting any Kansas basketball or football team.
Barbara is both honored and excited to be a part of KEYN’s morning show with the legendary Dancing Don Hall.
