Brett Hull, Ozzie Smith, Lou Brock named the top St. Louis sports personalities of the past 50 years

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - This year hasn't been all that great to sports fans, so here's something to cheer you up, distract you and/or cause new debates among your friends. The Missouri Athletic Club has posted the final results of its public poll to find the "Top 50 St. Louis Sports Personalities of the Past 50 Years."

It was an online ballot that was posted Tuesday and first shared during the annual Jack Buck Awards.

The list is filled with local sports icons from 1970 to 2020, including St. Louis Cardinals, Blues and Rams, Olympic champions from the St. Louis area, broadcasters and more.

Fans voted Hockey Hall of Famer and Blues executive vice president Brett Hull as the top sports personality, with former Cardinals Ozzie Smith and Lou Brock behind him.

Here's how the top-10 rounded out:
