CDs aren't all that popular anymore, thanks to digital music and streaming. But you know who listens to CDs?
DADS!
That's why it's probably important to note that there's actually a 3-disc collection out there called "Now That's What I Call Dad Rock". It came out in 2018, but, you know, not all dads are exactly PLUGGED IN to the information pipeline.
So what is Dad Rock, exactly? Well, according to this set, just about ANYTHING from the '70s to now.
The playlist includes everything from ZZ Top, the Rolling Stones, Blue Oyster Cult, and Deep Purple to Nickelback, Imagine Dragons, Natalie Imbruglia, and Avril Lavigne's "Complicated".
And I would literally bet my mortgage that this is the first officially licensed and curated compilation that features both "Breakfast at Tiffany's" by Deep Blue Something and Motorhead's "Ace of Spades".
