
The NBA Summer League continues in Las Vegas; several local college players were in action on Wednesday:
*Former Wichita State Shocker & Kansas Jayhawk Conner Frankamp came off the bench for the Los Angeles Lakers; the Wichita North High grad played four minutes, with one rebound, one assist, and missing a 3-pointer.
*Former Kansas State Wildcat Barry Brown came off the bench for the Minnesota Timberwolves; Brown had seven points and a pair of assists, making two 3-pointers.
*Former Kansas State Wildcat Dean Wade started at power forward for the Cleveland Cavaliers; Wade finished with eight rebounds and three assists, but had a rough game shooting, going 0-for-8 from the field, including 0-for-6 from 3-point range.
*Former Kansas Jayhawk Malik Newman came off the bench for the Cavaliers; Newman scored 15 points and dished out three assists.
*Former KU Jayhawk Dedric Lawson came off the bench for the Golden State Warriors; Lawson had six points, six rebounds, and four assists.
*Former member of the KU program Billy Preston played three minutes off the bench for the New York Knicks, but did not score.
