
Jarron Cumberland scored 24 points, and Cincinnati ended its record-tying streak of overtime games, beating Wichita State 67-64 at Five/Thirds Bank Arena in Cincinnati.
The Bearcats had gone overtime each of their last four games, matching the NCAA record. The Shockers had a chance to send it to overtime, but Jamarius Burton's half-court shot at the buzzer was off.
Jaime Echenique scored 10 points and pulled down 12 rebounds for his fifth double-double of the season for Wichita State. Eric Stephenson led all Shocker scorers with 13 points in a losing cause.
Next action for WSU will be this Thursday when they host Temple at Charles Koch Arena.
