Bill Buckner passed away at 69

Buckner, the goat of the 1986 World Series, has died due to complications from dementia. Buckner compiled 2,707 hits in the 70s and 80s, second only to Pete Rose's 2,929. Buckner played 22 seasons, winning a batting title (1980) and an All-Star appearance.
