Next up: Gilmore…Happy.

Tuesday marked the 25th anniversary of the Adam Sandler comedy in which he played a failed hockey player-turned-golfer who brought a new attitude to the sport.

In order to commemorate the occasion, Sandler hit the links to show off his patented “Happy Gilmore” swing in which he takes a running start before smacking the ball off the tee.

“It’s been 25 years since I’ve done this. Let’s see what happens,” Sandler says. “I’m scared. Shooter McGavin, this is for you.”

Sandler appears to still have the swing as he flawlessly drove the ball deep into the course.

“I’m not lying to you, that is smashed,” he said. “Smashed. That went pretty well. You’re dead, Shooter. Hahahaha.”

Christopher McDonald, who played the arrogant villain in McGavin, appeared to post a response as well, which was tweeted from the parody Shooter McGavin Twitter account.

McDonald showed off his strength — putting — and then challenged “Gilmore” to meet him at the ninth green at nine.

“Oh, and Gilmore,” he said. “Wear something nice.”
