
The Butler Community College women's basketball team picked up another resounding victory on Monday, winning 86-57 at Cloud County. Butler (9-0) is ranked #9 in the nation.
In other juco & small college action:
*The Hutchinson Community College women's basketball team won at home, 68-50 vs. Dodge City. The Hutchinson ladies (7-2) are on a three-game winning streak, and ranked #21 in the nation. The Lady Blue Dragons are 6-0 this season on home court.
*The Friends men's basketball team won its opening-round game in the KCAC Tournament, with a 68-63 victory at Bethany; that's back-to-back wins for Friends coach Dale Faber, in his final season as head coach. With the win, Friends advances into the tournament quarterfinals.
*The Cowley College baseball team opened its season with a pair of wins in Edmond, Oklahoma. In the season opener, Cowley clobbered Northern Oklahoma-Enid 31-4 in a five-inning game. Cowley also won its second game of the day, 20-9 in seven innings against Northeastern Oklahoma A&M. Cowley is ranked #9 in the nation.
