Announcer error or did ESPN miscount Kyle Schwarber's home runs?

It certainly appears that ESPN miscounted Kyle Schwarber's home run count in last night's Home Run Derby, resulting in a first-round loss for the Phillies slugger to legend Albert Pujols.

If you watch the video, with around 11 seconds left in Schwarber's at-bat, the 29-year-old outfielder hits home runs 17 and 18, but the official count only goes up by one.

It sounds like Schwarber reaches the 20 home run mark, which would have tied him with Pujols in the No. 1 vs. No. 8 seeded matchup.

However, upon further review, ESPN announcer Karl Ravech calls for home run number 17, but it actually falls short, as pointed out by some of the commenters on Twitter.

Schwarber was extremely gracious in his defeat to the future Hall Of Famer, bowing down to Pujols and giving him a big hug.
