K-State names Casey Alexander as men's basketball coach

Kansas State University has appointed Casey Alexander as the 27th head coach of its men’s basketball program, athletic director Gene Taylor announced Friday. Alexander comes from Belmont, where he won 166 games and four conference titles over the past seven seasons, including the 2026 Missouri Valley Conference Championship.

Alexander has a career total of 303 wins and has signed a five-year contract with K-State. A public introduction will be held at a future news conference, which will be streamed on K-State’s Facebook Live.
