Patrick Mahomes is back on the practice field with no restrictions as the Kansas City Chiefs begin training camp in St. Joseph. Fully cleared after recovering from the knee injury that ended his 2025 season, Mahomes participated in team drills and looked comfortable moving both inside and outside the pocket.

The star quarterback connected several times with Travis Kelce and quickly developed chemistry with fifth-round rookie wide receiver Cyrus Allen, one of the early standouts of camp. Head coach Andy Reid said the relationship between Mahomes and Allen is progressing well as the rookie continues to make a strong first impression.

On defense, the Chiefs are continuing to work new faces into the lineup as they begin preparations for another run at the Super Bowl. With camp just underway, the focus is on building chemistry and evaluating young talent before the preseason begins.
