For the Chiefs, it was their first championship in a half-century. The Chiefs trailed 20-10, but outscored the 49ers 21-0 in the final six minutes of the game for the comeback victory.

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was named the Most Valuable Player of the game; 98 million people watched the game on television.

This year, the Chiefs are in the Super Bowl for the third time in the past four years. On Sunday, February 12, the Chiefs will face the Philadelphia Eagles.
