Lenny Dykstra and the Bagel Boss Guy couldn't wait until Sept. 28 to start throwing down.

The former Met and the pint-sized viral video sensation got into a wild skirmish Thursday during a Philadelphia news conference promoting their upcoming boxing match in Atlantic City.

The Bagel Boss Guy -- aka Chris Morgan -- was seated at a table speaking into a microphone when Dykstra stood up, reached over and knocked the mic out of his hands. Morgan then tossed a water bottle at him.

And then while posing for stare-down photos, Dykstra shoved Morgan, who accused the retired baseball star of being drunk, in the chest. A little later, after some shouting back and forth, Dykstra darted toward Morgan, landing on a pair of tables as spectators chanted "Lenny! Lenny!"

Dykstra, the 56-year-old, three-time MLB All-Star, and Morgan, 45, who rose to fame after being caught on video screaming at customers at a Long Island bagel shop about how difficult life is for a 5-foot-tall man, are scheduled to fight at the Showboat Hotel on Sept. 28.

The fight was organized by promoter Damon Feldman, who signed Morgan to a deal back in July after his viral rant. It was initially believed Morgan would fight another viral star, but it will be Dykstra, who has had trouble with the law following his 12-year career in the majors. Last October, Dykstra was indicted for drug possession and making terroristic threats in May 2018.

Morgan has agreed to stop referring to himself as the "Bagel Boss Guy" after the bagel chain sent him a cease-and-desist letter. He was referred to as the "Angry Bagel Guy" on Thursday.
